Hello, I'm Christyn!
My name is Christyn Allen, and I have a passion for storytelling. I'm a Multimedia Journalist working for Erie News Now in Erie, PA. I previously interned at WKRN News 2 in Nashville and at WATE 6 On Your Side. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University in December 2020.
In my current role, I report general assignment stories with a special interest in crime and consumer problems, produce and anchor a daily webcast, and report live on breaking news. In just the last year and a half, I've reported on a major snowstorm, a school shooting, and the ever-changing COVID-19 pandemic.
When I am not working in news, I enjoy spending time with my family in my hometown, Oneida, Tennessee. I'm a big animal lover and am usually pampering my cat, Archie.
